Default 7105t Issues - 07-19-2007, 07:34 PM

Im new to the forums but have had my Blackberry for over a year now. I have a couple of issues with my phone. Before you flame me, I tried the search feature and did not find anything along these lines.

My issue is this, when i am in text message writing, the "qw" "as" and "zx" keys will add in one character from the key right next to it. i am very careful about what buttons I push and i know for a fact i am not pushing two buttons at once. Also, my little function key that lets me use my exclamation point and stuff like that does not work as well.

Now, questions for the solution.

#1 would an o.s. update help this out? i know i need to do it because my os is like hella old.

#2 would i need to disassemble the phone and clean it out with canned air? and if so, does anyone have a diagram or pictures on how it is disassembled?

Finally,
This is completely off topic, but, does anyone have the website list for the adp ringtones that work on the 7105? Again, I tried searching and no luck.

Thanks in advance,

Barrett

Barrett, the key problem sounds like a hardware problem to me. While it won't hurt anything at all to reload the OS or an upgrade, it sounds like the keypad is slight shifted or has some sticky substance in there. Just a guess.

Cleaning it out with canned air and even wiping with a q-tip with isopropyl alcohol can clean the keys inside if you feel necessary.

I don't know the website you won't offhand, but if you look around the Media Section of this forum, even search on "adp" in that forum only, you will certainly find a number of sites.
