Default Installed wrong theme on 7130e - 08-28-2007, 03:37 PM

I seem to have installed the wrong theme on my 7130e and now all I get is the hour glass at boot and it will continuously reboot. Can anyone help me with this one? I have tried removing the battery as this is the "soft" reboot. There is no actual reset button on the berry so I am stranded right now......HELP!

Wirelessly posted (BB 8860: BlackBerry8100/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

You are going to need to wipe the device with JL_Cmder and reload the os. Jl_Cmder is in my signature and the links for the OS's can be found on www.blackberryfaq.com. There are also instructions there as well.

John,

Thank you for your guidance with this matter. I have followed the links you provided and it appears that the link for the 7130e for Aliant network is not available anymore on that site. Do you know where I could obtain a working copy of the OS?

Like what? You can plug the device back in, run Desktop Manager/Application Loader and make sure the apps you want are checked.

Otherwise go to Options >Advanced Options >Host Routing Table >Click the wheel and select "Register Now."

I know that I was running 4.2.xx as the OS on the first BB that I had....it had WAP browsing and bluetooth capabilities........now I can only find version 4.1xx........looking for 4.2 for CDMA....any suggestions?

PS: What does registering it on the network do?
