Default Upgraded to 4.1 software now sloooowww - 08-29-2007, 08:01 AM

I have upgraded my 7100T to OS 4.1.0.377 from 4.0, but now many operations seem to go very slow, with an hour glass of up to a minute while it thinks.

It is slow for instance when I try to load up the calculator, take about 30 seconds to start up. This happens in other places as well.

Is this a normal observed behaviour of the new 4.1 software?

Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (9900: BlackBerry8800/4.2.1 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/102)

It will happen the first time you use apps. It will get better. However when the next gen comes with new processors you should upgrade.

Stins is right. 4.1 does slow down the 32Mb devices initially after a reboot. The Dimension themes are the worst. However, once you open each app or build a new menu for the first time you shouldn't have any more problems. If you have to reboot a lot it will be quite annoying.
