hey guys. im a newb. i turned on my blackberry 7100 today, and it boots up with the sand glass loading thingy, then it goes to a white screen saying "abort exception: reset" i keep trying to reset it, but the thing always boots up with the same thing. i tried taking the battery out, and then rebooting, and same thing happens. and i installed the desktop manager software, and tried to erase the blackberry, but i couldnt reach the erase screen cause everytime it got to the "abort" screen, it would loose a usb connection. please help.

Try running the firmware upgrade utility. I had one do the same to me before and messed with it a little while and actually got it to accept the upgrade and all was fixed.

I am having the same problem. I haven't seen any firmware on blackberry's sight or any other place. Where would I find the firmware utility?
