Default Replace 7250 screen - 01-28-2008, 10:08 AM

Does anyone out there have instructions on how to replace the screen on the Blackberry 7250? Mine is extremely scratched up & has a white spot in the screen. It's out of warranty so that's not a problem & I'd like to do it myself & know how to crack open the phone but would like some assistance with the screen itself.

Thanks.

This is not an overly difficult task to complete. Do you have a replace screen board? Once you are ready to go. First remove the battery and then you remove the (6) six star like screws on the back of the device. Once this is done the housing is clipped together on the both sides of the Phone button and on the bottom on both sides of the small rubber gromlet, with a small slender like stnd screw driver, slip the driver and gentle separate on the top from both sides and do the same on the bottom and you will be able to separate the front and back housing. Remove inner chassis and lay upside down. You will find on single screw of the same size that must be removed. Once this is done the screen sits inside silver aluminum frame, the frame can be gently removed from the chassis and replaced with your new screen. Once this is done the device can be reassembled.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
