Default Using a 7290 as a PDA only - 04-25-2008, 04:42 PM

Hey there all.

Switched employers and got a new blackberry. Long story, short version, my previous employer did not want my old 7290 back. Would like to use it as a PDA for my wife. I have canceled my plan. If I install the software on her computer but do not activate a new coverage plan she should be able to synch up her calendar etc and have a decent PDA, correct? I know it is bit overkill but she uses a Razr and does not want e-mail, web etc on a phone but might be able to use the PDA features of a BB.

Thoughts?

Thanks!

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

It should be fine as she will use the wire to sync between outlook as a backup if you want.

i wanted to use my 7290 as a pda; typing in content while on the move, saving it as a message or email, then connecting it to my pc later. i have been to the blackberry site, but they have major problems performing simple tasks, like providing users with the appropriate software. I need the 7290 software, because i cannot get the other device manager i downloaded to work. If i manage to get this software, is it possible to download my fileson the my computer?im using windows xp

No, you can't do that on a BlackBerry.
Please don't double-post your questions.
