Default Maddening 7250 problem - 04-29-2008, 08:48 AM

My impatience may be getting the better of me, but I'm sure there's a bigger problem when my 7250 won't charge. I may have ran it dead last night (which shouldn't have happened because I turned it off before the battery was too low), and now I am trying to charge it through USB but I get nothing. The red light doesn't blink, it just stays on, and when I disconnect it a very very high pitched tone squeals out of the phone and the screen turns on and says "Initializing". That word goes away after a minute, still squealing, and it says "Data Abor......." with a black box that says "Reset". I click the thumbwheel and the whole thing shuts off. I turn it on again, the same thing happens.

Please tell me I just have to charge it for a while, and that I didn't lose all of the data on my phone.

Wirelessly posted (Verizon 8830)

Try to charge it through the Desktop Manager which you hopefully installed on your PC

Oh man, I am gonna get it from you guys. I bought the phone off a coworker, which means I don't have any software or manuals or anything. The phone was working perfectly until I got slammed with a ridiculous phone bill, then this happens.

Never mind, its working now. I took the battery out for a minute, popped it back in, and it turned on. I am getting rid of this phone next week.

I am glad you are okay.
It is a great device. Unfortunately, it is a bit obsolete in many ways.

Yeah I like it, it's just too involved of a device to use just as a phone, functionally and monetarily. It turned me onto the mini qwerty keyboard though, my next phone will definitely have that.
