Default Swapping Parts 7280/7290 - 05-10-2008, 06:56 PM

I have a code FFFFFFF dead 7290 and I have a working 7280. The 7280 screen has a nasty scratch on it, but the dead 7290 has a perfect screen.

Will the 90 screen work in the 80 if I swap them out?

i can't remember the exact differences between the two devices. Are they both color displays? I would guess they would work if they are.

Default 80 & 90 - 05-10-2008, 09:47 PM

Yes, both are color. So far I have found 3 major differences.

1. the 80 has 16m, the 90 has 32m memory.
2. The backlight on the 80 only has 1 setting, DIM. It really sucks.
3. No blue tooth or MMS.

The backlight issue is the only one I'd be concerned about. Try checking with HorizonWirelessOnline.com in my sig or send a PM to Horizon Wireless on this forum. I'm sure he'd know.
