Default Help - trying to delete email accounts - 06-13-2008, 08:58 PM

I've updated my 7290 for a Curve and now a friend wants the old unit.

My problem is while I've been able to delete all messages, tasks, memos, address book items etc - I can't figure out how to delte the email addresses now the SIM card is tranferred to the new unit - and has the very same addresses I want to keep...

Anyone any ideas that allow me to do this without deleteing the whole data set on the 7290 and starting again?

You need to wipe the device at the Options, security.

And remove your PIN from your BIS account with your carrier.

From what I can see if I do this I wipe ALL data and applications from the BB; as I wanted to leave programs there for my friend (versions not carried forward to the BB Curve) I'm looking to just take my message accounts out only...

Is the wipe the only way; Would I still be even able to log into my carrier to do this online with the old SIM card now I've used my Cirve for some months?

Yes you should remove the old PIN from the carrier account for that old device. Then simply delete the Service Books at Options, Advanced, Service Books. And reboot. That will remove the email accounts.
