Cool Spinning Hourglass...with a Twist - 06-23-2008, 03:33 PM

The twist is that it see's dead people....and it isn't a 7200 its a 7500....but...whatever? There is not 7500 threads

Anyway, Nextel 7520 that a user brought in with a spinning hourglass of dead...or doom depending on who you talk too. Not an issue...I had used javaloader before...but now for the twist which makes it not simple.

Everytime I plug the phone into any computer, I get a USB Can Not Be Recognized error...in a looping fashion. I disconnect it, try it again, stand on my head...threaten to toss if from our 4th floor window...nutin. The "best" I got was one time it recongnized it as a blackberry smart phone I ran javaloader and it sat on "Connecting to Device" for 3 hours.

Nextel said it wasn't fixable...not that I pushed that hard because well...I'm trying to get these replaced anyway. But till then it would be nice for this one to work.

Suggestions?

If it doesn't work keep trying. It's all in the timing. You have to catch it just right in the cycle.

Hope it works!

It can take many times for it to get it to work. I went 20ish before getting it to connect. It can be a very tiresome process but worth it.

Holy...bad word batman....it took two of us...one connecting it and the battery and the other clicking next...why!? It is happily pulling away in the corner now erasing itself. Thanks guys. Maybe the idea that it takes MANY tries to get it should be added to the FAQ or something.

Till they break something else! Cheers!
