Default Help....Need To Find a way!!! - 06-28-2008, 10:48 AM

hi i broke my old 7290 and can only use the track wheel to move up and down not to slect anything anyway i got a new 7290 but heres my problam i have pictures and two ringtones that are on the old phone that i want to get onto my new phone ive tryed the bluetooth thing but it cant work because you hafe to press in the track wheel and i backed it up to a IPD file then used ABC amber blackberry converter software and already tryed to restore the IPD file to my new phone but when i did it did everything i wanted on the new phone but the two things i wanted! ugh so if you can please help it would be sooo great. thank you for your time. Use desktop manager and the switch device wizard. See if that pulls it over. If not you *might* be able to use Roxio to get those media files.

If you made a complete backup and restored it to the new phone, what did you use Amber converter for?

Sith's idea should work...use the Switch Device Wizard.

thanks for the reply's but i already used the restore thing on the new phone because i was in a hurry so what would happen if I used the switch device thing would all the data from the old phone overwrite or put the old and the new information together. sorry i dont know a lot about blackberrys and how all this works so thank you everyone for your help and im sorry i dont know more about this but this looks like the best place to ask for help. thank you.
