The alternative to BES is BIS, BlackBerry Unite, and BlackBerry Professional Software.

However, note this: http://www.blackberrynews.com/2009/0...hopping-block/

If you don't have a browser, do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan with your carrier account?

Do you have a BlackBerry Data Plan, there are different plans. You need the BB Data plan for the Browser icon and BlackBerry Messenger.

Try going into Options > Advanced Options > Host Routing Table > Press the trackwheel > Register Now.

Welcome to the forums.

Go into your messages icon, press the track wheel, you should see the options to compose email and to compose SMS, highlight compose SMS and click the trackwheel.

The 7520 cannot send mobile originated SMS, so you are out of luck.

Unfortunately there is not.

If you absolutely must use Sprint's iDEN network, I would recommend getting an 8350i.

You have a very old, four or five generation old, device.

Did you get that BlackBerry Data Plan yet, I asked about?

OP did state that he's subscribed to Boost Mobile, so that's basically a non-BB data plan
