Default Turning off data connection - 02-26-2009, 09:27 PM

Hi all,

I recently got a used 7290 and I currently have a pre paid account from att that I use only for texting. Is there a way to turn off the data connection so I don't get the "data connection refused" error?

The data connection refused means you do not have a DD data plan. I do not know of a way to turn that off on a 7200 series device - or at least I can't remember how. Not real sure you can.

No, there isn't a way to do it on the 7290. The feature to disable the data connection came out in later OS revisions.

Ohhh okay. I guess I'll just have to look at the data connection message then.

Thanks
