Default How is browsing the web with the 7290? - 10-29-2004, 10:39 AM

Hi,

Just wondering how web browsing is on the 7290. Will be getting at least one and want to know how sites like mobilistings.com looks on the 7290.

Thanks,
eagle

Looks as any other WAP type site. Text only.

Same as past devices I've owned, screen is crisper if anything. My carrier has also added public MDS which makes for easy html browsing. Beyond that no big difference from other colour Blackberry.

Default Works great! - 12-29-2004, 02:51 PM

Browsing the web is like any other blackberry, it works but is jumbled of course due to the screen size.

The great thing about the 7290 is that you can hook it to your laptop and browse the web from the laptop using the GPRS. I've done it and it works like a champ from home.

Are we set up to do this with the 7520's? We're very interested in this in 54200

I thought we had to have BES 4 in order to do it. I've set up my 7520 as a modem but it times out with "verifying username and password" (Dialing S=2 for the NXTL phones) If we could tunnel the fiberlink stuff over it would be pretty nice.
