i have BB7230 which wasnt working properly. I tried to upgrade the os but it didnt want to work. I used JL_cmder and wiped the BB. Have tried to reload different OS from 3.7 to 4, but they all fail. Keep getting the error "A newer version of the Application Loader is required to load the system software on this device [A:0x00000008]" Cant find an answer to this. I have spent a lot of time, being retired allows me that. I have followed instructions on so many forums before this posting, but not getting anywhere. No matter what I try it will not reload the os. It sits with a 507 error on screen. Help appreciated very much.

What version of Desktop Manager are you using? Try version 4.2 and see if that works.

Why don't you Wipe it first?

same problem I'm using 4.7.

507 is no OS, btw.
