Exclamation Update to 4.1.0.377 & phone locks - 08-20-2009, 09:53 AM

Hi there,

I just bought an unlocked Blackberry 7290 from ebay but it doesn't come with 4.1.0.377. I just downloaded off Tmobile's website the following software updates for this blackberry:

RIM Blackberry® 7290 Software Updates
Desktop Manager Software (4.0.1.19)
Handheld Software Version (4.1.0.377)

I would like to know if I go ahead and update the handheld software, will the blackberry be locked again to T-mobile?? I am planning to use this phone here in Europe...

One more question. Can I do the updates on vista?

--- I have been trying to update on vista all day and it seems I cant. Has anyone done the updates on vista or can it be only done on XP?

I did the same thing and my phone did remain unlocked so you should be okay. I was using XP so I don't know about the answer to your Vista question but I don't see why it would make a difference.
