Default Verizon 7250 wannabe? - 01-31-2005, 09:24 PM

Hello all,

I just joined this forum a few minutes ago. I am not to familiar with Blackberrys but I have heard all of the Crackberry stories from a lot of people.

I currently own a Treo 600 but want the new 7250 which was released to Verizon's business channel today.

I have read the newcomer page but still have a question.

Do I have to sign up with Verizon Unlimited Blackberry Plan or are there other options? I am a single user and won't be using BES.

If this is answer is already located on this forum I apologize. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking forward to becoming a Blackberry owner after I do some more investigating.

Thanks,

Jack

I am not 100% sure about the status of a TCP/IP stack on the 7250 is -- but I think it will have one, since it is rumored to have EV-DO and have the ability to be used as an external modem for a laptop.

The best thing to do is wait until the 7250 has been reviewed by somebody. Initial release of Blackberries can be slightly buggy (just like when the first time Treo 600 was released), until a couple of firmware updates, so you may want to wait for a review first.

Thanks,
Mark Rejhon
