Default BB 7290 vs 7250 - 02-06-2005, 06:34 PM

Has any one had the opportunity to compare these devices? They look pretty much the same in terms of capabilty and form factor.
The reason I ask is that I live in an area of fringe reception (work reception is not a problem) . . . I use Rogers GMS/GRPS service (7290 and 7100r) whereas my better half has a Bell CDMA BB 7750 and she gets 3/5 bars where I get 0 to 1/5 bars reception at our house. A lot of the time I get the dreaded "Big X"
Is it worth my while to consider the 7250 or a CDMA Charm if one should emerge . . . or should I sit where am?

The 7250 ajnd 7290 are so similiar in capabilities, that reception can definitely be a buying consideration.

Just be warned about the need for BES/MDS to use Internet applications (Verichat Instant Messaging, etc) on the BlackBerry 7250. The battery life on the 7250 may be shorter than the 7290, but this may not be in your case, if you get much better reception with Bell at your home.

Usually, Rogers has the better network at the moment in Ontario, but this isn't always the tule of thumb.

Thanks,
