Default 7250 as a Modem - 01-24-2007, 10:25 AM

I have had a look through the FAQ's and noticed that model 7250's are capable of connecting as a modem with Verizon. Has anyone had success or failure doing this with Telus?

Thank you for any help

I'm not a telus customer but with Verizon you need the Blackberry unlimited data plan 49.95 and Data Connect 30.00 w/o voice service and 15.00 w/voice service.

Once turned on Verizon supplies a connection manager "VZW Access" that does the rest for you.

On Bell Mobility you need to download Voyageur on your PC to make it work and it costs extra even if you have unlimited data, I know, I found out the hard way.

I'm a telus customer and yes you can. Make sure your until and the PC has the most up to date software. There should be a standard modem set up. You dial #777 as the number to connect and no need for Username and Password.

Email me if you have any problems.

Smile 7250 as a modem (SPRINT) - 08-15-2007, 08:37 PM

Download and install Sprint Mobile Broadband software and you can use your phone as a Modem without Mobi-Shark.

of course the connection is not broadband, but still acceptable performance.
