Unhappy Duplicate email on Blackberry 7250 (Telus) - 03-29-2007, 02:55 PM

Hi,
I managed a BES server and one of the user in Canada is receiving duplicate email on his Blackberry. It only shows 1 email in Outlook but he received 2 on his BB. He received the first email on time then the second one will show up after 3 minutes. I had him wipe the handheld and did another Enterprise Activation but that did not fix the issue. I noticed that his handheld OS is still 4.0. You think upgrading his OS to 4.1 will fix the issue? thanks.

Do you think there is any chance that the user might additionally have his outlook set to forward any emails to his BB, or that he could have setup his BB for POP email retrieval on the same account via BIS?

Thanks for replying. I checked the server and and his mailbox is pointing to the exchange server. I also checked his mailbox properties on BIS and under the Redirection, his work email is listed. There is no other email address or POP setting that I see. There shouldn't be no other email setting other than the work email since I had wipe the handheld and did an Enterprise Activation. Thanks you so much for all your help.

Thanks for your help. You were right. Those silly Telus rep. added a POP email account for my user and used his work email account without even telling me. That explained why he is getting duplicate email. thanks.
