Default Desktop manger want say connect i have tried everything i think - 07-18-2007, 06:26 PM

When i plug up the unit to the computer it detect the Blackberry but the desktop manger still want say connect.

Default Problem with desktop manager - 08-12-2007, 04:05 PM

I have the same problem...I don't know what to do!!! desktop manager want say connect but the pc find it!!! Why??!!

Restart computer. If that doesn't work, uninstall then reinstall desktop manager.

Make sure you power off the blackberry device, pop out the battery, put it back in and let it reboot. This will not hurt any data on the device BUT is the numebr 1 fix to most of my blackberry problems. Even theough the problem seems to be with the wire, software or laptop/pc, I find that the blackberry is usually the issue.

I had the same problem where my computer wouldn't recognize the device...Here is how you fix it...turn off ur computer and unplug anything plugged into the USB. Now unplug the cord to your laptop (or unplug from wall if a desktop). Let the computer sitfor about 20 seconds and now start your computer back up. Once windows loads, plug in your USB cable and phone. Supposedly the reason that the device can't be recognized is because there is an electric buildup that needs to be discharged. Worked for my phone and have heard from many others that it worked for them too. Good luck!
