Default 7280 and jvm error 531 - 08-09-2007, 01:36 PM

Noob here.....just got this unlocked phone and it worked fine until I started using the desktop software to try to install a bible program and opera mini.....got an error about running out of space, and not knowing much, I sadly did a backup to my laptop of the data and then went to the application loader and got into the advanced and decided to try to wipe all the applications and reload them.....it froze in the process and I get this error now.

I really hope there is some way to get this thing back. I don't have a CD or anything that came with it.

I guess I'm really hoping that somehow someway I can get the OS back on there right and install the applications.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

c.

yes you can recover from this. use java loader or JL_CMDER to wipe device then reload the OS to your device

"531 Flash exhausted There are certain operations where the JVM cannot withstand running out of flash space. In these circumstances, this error will be reported if the JVM cannot allocate a required amount of flash space "

That error indicates that the flash memory has been exhausted. Like the previous comment states, Completely wipe the device and reload the OS. That will work with any JVM error

Thanks so much for all the replies......one question.....I don't have the OS software like I said initially.

I just got the phone and charger.

Is there anywhere I can download the OS software for it?

I HOPE SO........:D
