I have an 8100 and have paired it with a Nokia CK-7W in car kit. It seems to have paired, but does not have all the functions available. I use the remote button that came with the car kit but it does not work to either voice dial or answer. Can anyone help?

I'm having the same issue, but have also noted the bluetooth conenction, doesn't automatically re-connect when I leave and re-enter the car?

Can anyone advise?

You need to set the Bluetooth properties to "Trusted device".

Thanks for this infomatio, but i have already set to trusted and still no luck. I am not sure where to go from here, my Nokia car kit worked well and ofcourse was expensive to install!

My issue is the same, but have noted if I delete the pairing and re-create it works ok at first. But then it appears to drop the connection, so half way thru my journey, if the phone rings the car kit doesn't pick it up. Even when the phone is showing they are still connected??

I am fast assuming that the bluetooth connection on the blackberry, is poor in relation to the trusty Nokia bluetooth - which I never once had an issue with. And yes, I have it set to trusted. Does anyone else have an issue or find the Bb works well with their car kit?

I think i am getting closer to the real problem, when my blue tooth connection is not working I have found that my voice dialing is not working on the phone. Once i get voice dialing working my blue tooth connection works, but then stops again and i find that the voice dialing is not working. Any ideas on this one?

Can't comment on your Nokia kit, but my BB works flawlessly with my Pioneer deck. Automatically connects every time I start the car, and I've never lost a connection while driving.

Maybe the problem isn't with your BB, but with your Nokia kit?

Thanks, still have my Nokia phone and still works fine on car kit, so I am still thinking is it something to do the voice activation not working properly on the Pearl?

Had the same problem with the same Nokia carkit when i got my 8100.

The Nokia kit would connect for 5 to 10 mins.

Researched back in January.

End result to elimate frustration was to swap out carkit.

Went to THB Bury bluetooth carkit.

And it has not caused any problems at all.

That wasn't the answer I was hoping to see!! My car kit works fine with other mobiles, which led me to believe it was the BB.

Does anyone have the nokia blue tooth car kit working with there BB?
