Missing Text Messages, BBMessenger History, and Call Log!? BB Deleted them?
Firstly, I have a 1GB miniSD card, so i have WAY ample space, and all my text messages are saved onto that (not SIM).
Anyways, today my battery got low, low enough it cut off signal...anyways, when i got it re-charged, my text messages, BBMessenger history, and call log had all been deleted...except for one random text message sent August 12...
what happened to them? I mainly want my text messages back...
I've turned it off and soft-reset too.
First upgrade to .107 on your Pearl.
Second you could have a 4GB card and that won't help at all. The card is for media not operational memory for the Pearl.
Unless you have a backup of the messages they are gone.
This is a known issue.

You do have memory issues whether you like it or not. Follow the link troy gave you, along wit this one:
Why is my BlackBerry losing its call logs or message logs? - BlackBerryFAQ
Your loss is no different than anyone else's loss of call logs, sms, etc.
I'll do that, but my "File Free" is 16363696
does that not mean much?
okay so i did that and okay.
...is there any way to get my text messages back? i said not to store them on the SIM card, so where were they stored? memory?
Well, do you have a backup from your BB. In Desktop Manager, did you ever click on the BACKUP icon?
I have, but not in a longgg time.
So i can't get them back? ok...
but where are the text messages stored then? In the unit's memory?
Well you can restore the ones you have from the back up. Desktop Manager, Restore only the SMS messages.
They are stored in the device memory, yes.
I just experienced this problem. Everything was fine until my battery got very low - to the point the low battery indicator was flashing. At this point, ALL text messages and entire call log were deleted. So it doesn't seem to be purely a free memory issue, but somehow related to the low battery - i.e., the text messages and call log are saved to a volatile memory that is wiped when the battery is drained.
Any way to prevent this in the future? Can I save text messages to the microSD card? I guess I should start backing up more regularly.
