Default Not vibrating

Please Login to Remove!

Hi peeps,

I have a problem with my Pearl. I have problems getting it to vibrate. Its set to vibrate or vibrate and tone, and when it shoudl vibrate, something obviously happens because there is a high pitched whistle like something is rotating inside but it doesn't vibrate.

Occasionally a battery out reboot sorts it, well, if i reboot it 4 or 5 times it often corrects it by the end but not always. It hasn't been dropped or knocked and the fact that a reboot sometimes fixes it seems to indicate it being software rather than hardware related but just wondered what you think? Its only 3 months old.

Any words of wisdom would really be appreciated, but I suspect its a "back to the shop" and "large screw driver" solution

Did your vibrate just wear out, you think?

ok...my vibrate started working again the other day....then it stopped...what in the world...I dont think it is a problem with the OS...

could a problem with say a program cause this?

Sorry to bring back a old post but I figured it would be better then making a whole new one to see if anyone had any advice.

Just to restate the problem...vibrate doesnt work...instead it is a high pitched whistle.
