Only if you are a customer of theirs and the BlackBerry has their logo on it. A carrier will never help you unlock another carriers BB.

alright thanks the link posted up in the sidenotes it said

''Make sure the PIN number from your Blackberry is not registered with another network. If your PIN number is registered with another network you need to have that network release the PIN number before you can use the Blackberry on the network of your choice''

how do i figure that out?

and once i have all that will the phone which is att/cingular be able to work once i put in my t mobile sim?

Unlocking (and some unlocking services listed, all credible) should you not get your carrier to do so for you:
How do I unlock my BlackBerry? - BlackBerryFAQ
I've used done business with of the first two listed and can attest to their ability.

If your PIN is registered to your network, or not, you will know, as your data plan and push email will only work if the PIN is registered correctly.

If you get it unlocked (read above) the phone and SMS will work.
