Default Silence O2 Pay-As-You-Go Popups

Please Login to Remove!

Hey all,
I'm stuck using pay-as-you-go service on O2 for another week or so, and these messages are just getting to be too much. No matter what mode I have my pearl in (off, vibrate, etc.), after each text or call O2 sends a popup that updates me on my balance and is accompanied by a loud beep. Is there any way I can either disable the messages or at least the sounds? I'm in a library and people are giving me dirty looks. Thanks in advance.

Put your 8100 in Profiles - Silent?

The pop-ups are some form of SMS from the carrier, but changing your SMS setting may not affect those type of pop-ups.

I've tried it, those settings don't affect it at all.

If it helps, the messages are in the form "You have x.xx left," with an "OK" button, and when I click ok, there is another box that says "Complete" and I must click again to dismiss that.
