Not through an option:

some workarounds - plug in a headset, start a phone call..

Be posted many times before.

First off this question has been asked MILLIONS of times since I've been a member. Second, I can only think of one reason why one would want the noise "shut-off" and that is to do some shady picture taking!
If I am wrong I'll get my mind out of the gutter and if I am not shame on you as well as ALL of you who asked!

Or, at a wedding. Or a lecture. Or a continuing legal education conference. Or when you don't want your 6 year old to know you are taking a candid shot. Or anytime is quiet and you don't want to disturb others because you are considerate. Or . . .

LOL you point out that this question has been asked millions of times, and in the same post you mention what everyone else has mentioned in those same threads hahaha.

UMMMMMHMMMMM! Ok, I"ll buy into those reasons and they are good ones.
I meant shame on everyone who has asked "how to turn the noise off".
Either way, I still think SOME of those people are up to no good.

I guess I am misunderstanding what EvolutionsCSR is referring to.

Because in all those threads someone says "they are up to no good" I think we sould setup a Bot to answer any thread with the word Camera, Click or Shutter Sound.

Oh ya I mute mine all the time by making a call. Sleeping dogs are cute!

LOL,,,, I saw on episode on CSI and they arrested a kid using a video camera looking up womens skirts. I've heard of people doing this sort of thing in gyms. I've even heard of some gyms banning cameras in the locker room. I wonder why? Do they hold lectures there? Or they want to take a pic of their child in the gym at that 'candid moment'.
gotcha!

For some of us who use this forum consistently it becomes annoying as hell and frustrating to see posts/threads from people who ask the same questions over and over again. If they took the time to read through or use the SEARCH button that would be a different story. THEN the questions some ask (not all) are shady like "How do I return my wet bb I bought two days ago without letting the rep know?" Or "how do i take pics of unsuspecting people?" These are unfounded on a forum that people use to learn how to operate their BB for work or personal use.
I am not perfect or on some moral kick but annoyed by some of YOU new people.

sorry, back on topic!
There is not "button" to turn off the clicker on your BB.

The question was answered in the FIRST response in this thread.

It has been discussed way too often on this board.
