Default OS On an unlocked Pearl

Please Login to Remove!

I have a Pearl that I recieved from a friend and had it unlocked to use on ATT. If i wanted to update the OS system do I download the T-Mobile OS since it is a T-Mobile Phone and an ATT OS for my carrier? Also, can I purchase the MediaNet package from ATT and use the internet with Opera or do I have to have the BB package? Thanks

Default

All of the handheld operating system packages are written by RIM. They are tested by the carriers and then they release them. The BB doesn't care. My opinion is to always use the most current version.

If ALL you want is Operate then you can get by with the Media Net package. But no MMS, Wireless e-mail or downloading programs over the air without a BB Data plan.
