I am debating over verizon Pearl 2 or 8800. email wise, I would only do short responses...main need other than phone is calendar...I often enter meetings, calls with specific people and not always the same names and often my companies specific named events, ... is suretype going to drive me crazy doing this....I have an 8700 now and can enter so fast with the full qwerty...thoughts? Thanks Basically, I am worried that I will love the Peral size, but will come to hate the data entry.

If you're not using it to write books, I think you will find it relatively easy to use. I can type just as fast, if not faster, without mistakes, on my Pearl as opposed to my 8800. That's just me though. Some people are qwert users and hate suretype. You have to love the size and power of the Pearl though!

I had a blackjack that had full keyboard but to be honest, this Pearl is the Bomb! Takes a couple of days to get used to but once you do, you might find this more to your liking. The key is to not look at the screen while you are typing a word.. most times your custom word list will pick up the correct word without you having to go back and re-type it. The Pearl size is great!

Ok, I will go along with the size, but what about the small screen as compared to what I've been used to with the 8703e and now the 8830? I used to own a 7130e so I know the benefits of SureType, but it's the screen that worries me...one of the reasons I left the 7130e and bought the 8703e.

I'm not sure if I will purchase the Pearl, or wait until RIM releases a CDMA Pearl.
