Default Pearl sometimes painfully slow

Please Login to Remove!

Hi,

Sometimes, my pearl will just become impossible slow. The trackball won't move, I can type 10 words before they show up on screen. Had anyone else had this problem? It's like the whole phone and scrolling functions slow down. I try turning on off and on, and taking out battery which sometimes fixes it but I wanted to know if there was another solution.

Thanks!

I know that when you open a program and then you exit out with the "Hang Up" button (The red phone) the program continues to run in the background. So I might have a webpage open, GMAIL running, and OZ messenger going while im trying to play brickbreaker and everything is going slow. The phone can handle more than one program but it does have its limitations.

Make sure your exit out of programs that you are not using. On the main screen you can hit the menu button a few times until you see the "Switch application" option. There are some apps that always stay open, such as phone log, messages, browser (even though it may not have a page loaded) and so on. Switch to other running programs and close them down.

Or you could be having a totally different problem. 8)

sometimes when I feel my pearl's getting a little slow, I just "Reset" it. I think it's better than pull out the battary.

you can search "reset" over here.

While the phone is on pull the battery. Or you can search for a program here called SoftRest by Metsfan.

You should check your memory after the battery pull Menu>options>Status.
Check it periodically and see if it drops. When it gets to 18mg I would suggest a battery pull. To free memory see link below:
