Default T Mobile Handheld Upgrade Handheld Software (v 4.2.1.107)

I have an Pearl 8100 and recently upgraded my Handheld Software to (v 4.2.1.107) through T-Mobile. What they didn't tell me was that in doing so I would no longer be able to tether to a MAC. Blackberry no longer supports tethering with MAC or Windows Desktops only Windows Laptops.

I have the old version if you need it, v. 4.2.0.64. It restored my ability to tether with MAC again.

Default Upgraded, Lost BBMessenger
I upgraded using the directions on this forum. But I lost my BB Messenger icon. Tried downloading using my device browser, and it said my provider doesn't support BBM! Probably related to TMobile. Does anyone know how I can regain it, or get my old OS back?

Have you tried installing BB Messenger using the application loader in desktop manager?
