Default Music through BT Headset on 8100

Please Login to Remove!

Well, sort of. Not exactly stereo, but I'm listening to music on my bluetooth headset (Motorola H700)! I've got the 4.2.1.107 OS right now, but the trick is to use the Rogers Music Player instead of the standard media player. The standard media player still will just play on the speaker.

I just connect my headset to the phone, and when I play a song thru the Rogers Music Player, it plays on the headset! I couldn't believe it. I don't know if it's in combo with the 107 OS (I was on 94 before) or it would have worked with the 94 and RMP combo as well. I ended up by fluke downloading the OS first tonight, and then installed RMP.

This has worked for quite some time as long as you use 3rd party mediaplayers.

Darn! I should have figured that I probably wasn't the first to discover this!

PS Thanks for fixing the subject to be more correct.

PS So is there a reason why RIM intentionally doesn't want their media player to play thru a headset? I don't get what their reason could be...

So where can a non-Rogers person get the Rogers Music Player? Can someone pull the .cod off their phone using JL_Commander or javaloader and post the .cod and .alx file.

Thanks,
SIB
