Hi guys, I'm about to buy an 8100, but would like to monitor my internet usage on it (as T Mobile has a 1GB cap per month, and I have been known to get carried away surfing...).

Anyone know of any software which will do this for me?

I do not know of any way to track this other than calling up customer service and asking them. However, I don't think it would be possible for you to use more than 1GB on your phone in a year let alone in a month.

I've not seen this with TMobile. Where did you see this limitation?

There is no data counter on the BB. You can check your account online to see what you've used. Under normal usage you won't use 1Gb in a month. I use mine as a modem occasionally and have never had any issues with TMobile.

Also thinking of changing networks to include free same network minutes. I probably know the answer, but is it possible to exclude certain numbers from a call counter? IE so that I can seperate my same network usage? Probably impossible, but thought I would ask anyway

I'm presuming its the same with networks in the US, Vodafone will let you call three other Vodafone numbers for free (so it would n't effect monthly free minutes).

There is no way to do that either, at least that I'm aware of.

TMobile US has myfaves which lets you call 5 numbers for free. I'm surprised TMo UK doesn't have that.
