Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

The folders don't synchronize for BIS e-mail accounts. In order to get folder synchronization you need BES!

Not even synchronization but it just doesn't store messages that I have sent? I don't want to see messages that I have sent from G-mail on my computer, just ones from my phone.

but what if you hide the sent messages, as I do? if they are stored in the messages folder, they have to be stored somewhere else if they are hidden.

^^ditto what Sgt says. Hidden does not mean moved to another folder. They are still in the same folder, just hidden. Unhide them, and you will see them.

Is there a quick way to hide/unhide sent messages? Obviously without going through the menu.

On the Curve, alt-O unhides them all. Maybe on the 8100 too?

Thanks for the ALT + O trick. Interestingly enough, doing that on my 8300 does NOT unhide sent messages but rather opens an OUTGOING folder. This folder has sms/mms/e-mail and even calls... Basically everything I have done OUT. This made me believe that O stands for outgoing and I is incoming. Pushing ALT + I brings up a similar folder but the opposite. It is titled INCOMING and has every incoming call/sms/mms/e-mail. HMMMM... This leads me to think there really is a hidden folder for sent e-mails.

I guess I don't see the distinction between a completed outgoing message and a sent message. I think "outgoing" refers to sending and sent.
