Question UPloading address book on BB from a text file

Please Login to Remove!

hi guys, I've just got my bb pearl and my old phone is lost. I have all my address book data in an excel file. Can I upload the address book data by a text file? and how? Pls. help.

If you have Outlook you can. Import it into Outlook (be sure to map the fields correctly) and then sync your device with Outlook.

I don't have/use outlook. Can I do this withgout outlook?- Thanks.

Actually, and this is a complete shot in the dark, but if you are able to sync with something like Yahoo, you may be able to import your contacts to that. Never tried it though....

Seems like there is some email program out there where you can do that, but I don't use BIS enough to know.

You don't have outlook on your computer? It is pretty much standard on windows pcs when buying new for the past few years.

You don't have to use for email. I only use it for storing contacts and appointments
