Default blackberry pearl calendar issue - uncache.exception

Please Login to Remove!

Hiyas

Have a new blackberry pearly 8100 that I am sing and I now have a major problem with my calendar

Whenever I go to finish putting a calendar item into the calendar, it closes out with the following error (or thereabouts)

uncache exception .net rim device api system objectgroup readonly exception

IT does manage to save the item into the calendar, but not without that issue - it then also goes back to the main screen

I am now also not able to sync my blackberry with one of my computers either ...

I may have made a mistake - I am using the blackberry desktop 4.2.2 software on one machine, and 4.2.0 on the other machine .. i just hadnt gotten around to updating it yet.

This is causing major problems .. on the 4.2.0 machine I can no longer even get a sync, and I am worried about hooking it up to the other machine in case I further do something wrong.

This is my first blackberry - I am hoping it is however like thoer phones and that these things jsut happen, and that you guys could give me a hand in solving the issue .. its pretty critical for my work, and the calendar is the most important part of the entire device.

What is going wrong and how can I fix this? I cant find anything on this error anywhere...

Thanks

Okay, which software, the actual calendar software? Or are you talking about the actual firmware of the phone?

IF I backup all of the data (ie, calendar data) before doing all this, will it save all of my entries? I wont have to fill them all in again will I?

Does the version of the device software make a difference? It appears as if the phone is version V42051 - is this a factory version, and are there a lot of known issues with this version?

Default All Day Events

I'm having a problem with all day events. The alarms is set to go off 5 minutes before the event. My beginning and ending day times are 12:00AM to 12:00 AM. I would think the alarm would go off at 11:55 PM. However, they are going off about 5 minutes before the time I entered the all day event (e.g., entered it at 7:00 PM on 10/29 for an 11/1 event. Went off at 6:55 PM on 10/30.

Anyone have this happen?
