Default pearl won't activate on vw

Please Login to Remove!

Just got home from work and have the new Pearl waiting for me. I decide to activate through my account online. I follow the prompts and it says its confirmed. Now, when I turn on the phone, it says activation required. I've turned it off and then back on, but no dice. I'm hesitant to get on the phone with VW. Will they know what the problem is?

Pull the battery out for a couple seconds and then put it back in.

Just tried that. Still saying not activated. Does the phone have to be fully charged? It seems to have close to full battery power. When I check my online account, it does show the BB Pearl as "My Phone." So it appears that the online activation took.

to activate you need to dial *22899 then send, this will activate the phone on the network
