Default Can you listen to music on a Pearl through a bluetooth headset?

Please Login to Remove!

Noob question...

I'm trying to determine if I should get a microSD card for my Pearl and, if so, what capacity. I don't think I'd keep many photos on it, and I don't think I'd listen to much music on it if I had to carry around a set of earphones in order to do so. However, I pretty much always have my BT headset with me for voice calls. Does anybody know if you can listen to music using the BT as well?

Thanks in advance.

No, the 8100 and current OS do not allow for stereo bluetooth. Right now, the majority says that 4gb is the highest capatible microSD card for the 8100. I know that you have the 8100 based on your profile on the side, but now there is an 8120 and 8130, so make sure you specify your phone model when posting threads...thx.

Thanks for the info. In that case, I guess I won't get a media card. I'm not going to start carrying earphones with me in addition to all the other stuff I have to carry around. Oh well.

As for the model, I have the regular 8100, not the 8120 or 8130.

I tried playing music with a Bluetooth headset (Plantronics 510) on the 8130 from Verizon Wireless and I cannot choose Bluetooth. Only options are speakerphone and handset. Has anyone else been able to figure this one out? I wanted to make sure it works before I go out and get a stereo bluetooth headset.

Wirelessly posted (Mike8130: BlackBerry8130/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

I also could not get it to work with the plantronics 510.

itll play music over a STEREO BT. my lg vx 9900 will not play music over my 510, but stereo bt works great. there is a major difference between calls and media player.....for those skeptics i will attempt to pair my logitech stereo headset tomorrow morning before i go to work.....or ill get the wife to try it.

That's because the 510 doesn't have the Bluetooth profile for music (I believe it requires AD2P). When I activate my 510, only the checkbox for handsfree is available. When I tried the stereo Bluetooth Plantronics 855, all three checkboxes (one was music and the other I don't recall) appeared.

exactly....same reason why stereo bt wouldnt work on os 10.4 no ad2p support,

10.5 does support ad2p, so now i can jam out in the office undisturbed

If ya like doing some ghetto type stuff yea, this worked with my TMO 8100, play a song, dial a call from your browser(go to a page that has a # and use the trackball to make the call) then once the call connects(rings) end the call with the trackball and what will happen is the audio will stream to the BT, a little tedious yes, but it works.

I have the 8130 pearl with a 2gb micro sd card (the video camera won't work without a memory card) and I can listen to my music over a motorola bluetooth HT820 stereo headset. Videos, however won't play over the bluetooth headset.
