Question No Send Option

Please Login to Remove!

Hi, i have a blackberry pearl. when replying to a message, i type it out, and go to send, but the only options I have are help, paste, select, clear field, save draft, delete original text etc. However there is no send!
any ideas?
I've upgraded the OS to the following;
Release: 4.2.1.164
App Version: 4.2.1.101
Platform: 2.3.0.80
Is it the latest?

Regards.

D.

The latest for the Pearl is 4.2.1.108. Try pulling the battery first (while the device is on) then reinsert. See if that works.

Dhass are you on a BIS or BES. My assumption is that you are on a BES. If you are, resending service books or upgrading/downgrading your OS will most likely not work for you. I JUST had this issue with a user no more than 20 minutes ago. I used the search button in this forum and found the answer in seconds . You will need to remove the user from the BES and re-add them and then activate the device again. You do not have to wipe the device. If you do, and back the device up, when you restore it, you will have the same problem, so a restore is out of the question.

Wirelessly posted (BlackBerry 8700g: BlackBerry8320/4.2.2 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/100)

If you are connected to a BES (and are not the administrator for it) then you will need to contact whoever is and have them perform the steps as noted by jsconyers.

Jeremy is correct. If you are not the admin, Contact your admin and tell him/her you are missing the send option on replies. Let him/her know that they will need to remove your user account from the Blackberry enterprise server (BES). Once deleted they will have to add your account back in. Once you've been added back on the BES, they will need to set your account up with an Enterprise Activation (EA) password.

From this point, you will need to go to options -> advanced options -> enterprise activation on the device, and enter in your email and the EA password your admin setup for you. Once the activation has completed, try replying to an email. Let me know if this helps or if you need further assistance.
