Angry Can't Sync Outlook - Not Even A Choice!

Please Login to Remove!

I'm trying to sync my 8130 from Verizon Wireless with Microsoft Outlook 2000 and when I go to sync in Desktop Manager, Outlook is not even a choice. There is only Yahoo and ASCII Importer/Exporter. I do not see this problem anywhere else - am I doing something really stupid and wrong? It's about to drive me nuts!!

Thanks!

Remove DM version 4.3 and download the latest 4.2 version. You are not the only one having these problems with DM 4.3

My Outlook synced fine with 4.3, but I have seen many others on here state it would NOT give them the Outlook choice.

Good luck.

You can make this work here are the steps to do so

Step 1: Go to folder:

C:\Program Files\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\IS71 Connectors\MS Outlook Connector

you will find a file called: conn_install.cfg

Step 2: copy that file in its location and then rename it to: conn_install.bat

Step 3: run file conn_install.bat when run it will ask you to open a file called:

MsOutlookConnector.fil just cancal the box

Step 4: Open Desktop Manager 4.3 and MS Outlook will be there.

I had the same problem and tried both uninstalling/reinstalling 4.3 and the conn_install.bat listed above to no avail. I'm going to roll back to 4.2 SP2.

One of the problems with 4.3 is Outlook 2000 won't sync with it anymore.
