Default Bizarre sync problem "function openfolder failed"

Please Login to Remove!

I am trying unsuccessfully to sync my Pearl with my 2nd PC, using Outlook data. I've done it 1000x but this time the sync fails, giving the message "(Intellisync) function openfolder failed". I was using desktop 4.2.2 so installed 4.3 but the exact same condition persists.

Any ideas? I have a good database on thr Pearl but no data currently in Outlook; all I want to do is transfer the pearl data to outlook, then transfer that across to my 8700 to get them both up to date...

Default This worked for me having the same error

It appears I had a reference to a folder that it was trying to access and was getting the same error when trying to syncronize. Here are the steps I took that resolved the error message.

I first went into control panel (Windows XP) and clicked on mail icon. I had an extra pst file in there that no longer was valid. Then in the blackberry m anager I clicked on Synchronize. In that window clicked on the configuration tab and selected Configure Synch... button. The intellisync window appeared and clicked the Advance button (Make sure you have Address Book checked). In the "Advanced" window select the Address Book tab and clicked "Map Folder..." button. I removed the selected folders in the right side list box and re-added the folder from the left side labeled "Microsoft Outlook Folders". Clicked ok all the way back to syncronize and the syncronize worked.
