I text a lot, usually my gf and my pearl has been really slow loading the texts and sending them. I have a 256mb microsd card with a bunch of songs and junk on it, only had the thing for a few months not but my old cell used to be instant loading and sending and its annoying having to wait like 5 seconds every time i send a text for the effin thing to send, and like 3 seconds for it to load. any way to speed this thing up? ive deleted a bunch of the old languages and junk to free up some memory.

Menu>options>Status (What is your free memory?)

Just because you have deleting things doesn't mean that it isn't struggling for
memory.

Write down your free memory and then do a battery pull while the phone is on and check again.

Is the performance any better now? The first time you open an app after a re-boot it will be slow but them it should pick up. You need to be sure that you are not running a bunch of applications in the background. To see whats running press Alt + Esc. There should only be 5 base apps running. Anything else is extra and eating memory. Always use the Escape key or Menu>end (Or Close). Never use the Red End key because it will leave the application running.

11mb of free memory shouldn't slow it down for txt at all. Bigger card won't help because it's only used for storage, not for apps running on the phone. The reason it goes up after battery pull is pretty unclear. Some memory is used just running apps even if you close them. It happens to everyone, but 11mb is more than enuf for it to run fast.
