Default Converting a MIDlet to a COD file : need help

Please Login to Remove!

Hello,

I am a new BlackBerry dev (for the moment I've no BB device but I use the 8130 simulator to perform some tests).

I made previously a MIDlet for the Nokia N95 that runs fine on it. What I'd like is to convert this MIDlet to a COD file in order to make it run with the BB simulator. A quick look at Nokia J2ME CLDC 1.1/MIDP2.0 APIs and BB APIs made me think those are quite similar. Here is what I've tried so far:

First I tried to import my project from Eclipse to BB JDE but (sorry) JDE is really bad. Bad luck.

Then, I tried with RAPC Ant Task : RAPC ant task
and it works with the example included but with a more complicated project I've an error on the data_sector size: Blackberry COD file format

Finally, I tried this solution that seemed the simplest one (at the bottom) : Blackberry Blog / Tips
I tried with many examples, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Bad luck: it doesn't work with my project.

I would really appreciate a hand from someone that is used to convert MIDlet to BB Apps, maybe it is a difference between the Nokia APIs and those from BB.

Thanks.

Daimonji.

Default

Some news,

I almost managed to make it work with JDE, but I'm afraid I won't use the environment after that anyways. With JDE, I can't even change a source file once the simulator is running because all sources of the project are in read-only mode until I stop the simulator.

So I'm always interested in generating the cod file from Eclipse (EclipseME ? Antenna ?) and using the simulator in debug. If you have any idea, thanks.
