Unhappy Beep Beep Beep + Slow Calls

Please Login to Remove!

I type in the number I want to dial, I press send or whatever. Then 2 seconds later I hear a beep beep beep really fast. Then an additional 10 seconds later the call goes through. A total of 15 seconds or more.

Also if I call my phone I about 4 rings before my blackberry actually rings.

It wasn't like this before! I don't know why its acting like this!

Is there anyway to resolve this?

Thanks!

Welcome to the forums. Try a hard reset (Pull the battery while the phone is on)

Good Luck!

If the unit is new you may consider returning it unless someone else has a suggestion.

In the meantime, check your memory (slow performance is usually related to it). Menu>Options>Status (what is it?)

File Free 12411012 Bytes
File Total 50462720

I should mention I get my emails within a split second literally.

All other functions are intact. Everything is smooth and fast.

I really would rather not return the phone. Cause I used up my 15 minute warranty with my service provider. I would need to send it away for weeks to months.

I know, its crappy! Well thats Bell Mobility for you.

Its an annoying issue, and I did pay good money and a 3 year contract to get it. I just want to make sure I am getting my moneys worth.

Well you can try and review the phone dialing options but I dont have a clue if you will find anything or that it will help.

Call Log>Menu>options> (Poke through them and see if anything stands out)

EDIT - Oh yeah you can try changing themes as well and see if that has an impact. Also did you recently install any applications???

I hate to say again, but I tried that.

Well..... I did drop it yesterday. I don't recall if this happened immediately after the drop.

It was in the cheap free holster you get in the box with purchase, it protects almost all of it except for near the mute button.. It has a nick on the plastic near the mute button thats it.

It fell about a meter.
Could this be the cause? I doubt it cause everything else is just perfect.

Before I conclude its damaged I will search online for things like "Bell Mobility" "Slow Network" etc. It could just be that bell mobility is crappy! I wouldnt know cause I had this phone and service for literally 5 days or less.

Thanks for your help anyways! Looks like a great community!

You are welcome. Sorry that I didn't have the answer. Welcome to the forums and good luck!

P.S. Check back to this post as another member might have a solution for you. Just give it some time.

I am not sure about the calling out problem, but when I got mine on Friday, I call it, same 4 rings + before BB start ringing... had to adjust the # of vibrations down to 1 in all volume settings.. BB can't vibe and ring at the same time..
