Last evening, I got my new Pearl. I love it--but somehow, while transferring data from my 7130e to the new Pearl, I lost the icon for maps.

At first I thought I lost the whole application--but it is still listed and, when I tried to download Maps again, it confirmed the newest version is still installed.

My question: how do I get the Icon back on my screen so I can access it?

Please help, I'd like to use it soon!!!

Did you accidently hide it?

Added: On the 8700, one presses the alt key and then the wheel, which brings up menu to move, hide, show all, etc. On you model there is a similar operation. Have you moved an icon before? I assume you would do that, whatever it is on you model, except click show all instead of move.

I believe aiharkness is correct. On the home screen press the Menu key (immediately to the left of the trackball) and then select Show All. If you find the Maps program shaded out then highlight it, press the Menu key again, then uncheck Hide.

I tried this, but still no Maps icon--the only new icons that appeared were "Compose" and "Saved Messages".

Via the Desktop Manager go ahead an uninstall the program, then reinstall it.
