Exclamation water

Please Login to Remove!

Hi I hope somebody can help me! I droped my pearl in a bucket of water. I dried it out in my oven at its lowest temp setting, but now it won't work. It was in the water for less than 5 seconds. I've done this with other phones with no problems. All I get is a red light on top that blinks once when I put a battery in. Although it did blink green 4 times in a row @ one point now red is all I get. any Ideas on how to fix this? Any help will be really great!

Thanks

Whatever you do KEEP THE BATTERY OUT. Put it somewhere very dry and let it try out for a couple of days. Do not put the battery back in while it's drying out.

Oh, and welcome to the forums!

Here you go! I hope that it works out! Just DO NOT put the battery in for any reason until it is TOTALLY dry.

I already dried it out. The phone just won't respond. I have recharged the battery. The screen won't light up. The small light on the top right hand corner will blnk red. Thats all I can get from it.

Wirelessly posted (8130 Pearl: BlackBerry8130/4.3.0 Profile/MIDP-2.0 Configuration/CLDC-1.1 VendorID/105)

This is when phone insurance would come in handy.

I guess its been a few days by now, so maybe it is working, but with a Nokia I had dropped in the pool I was sure it was done for and I even called and set up a ticket with warranty services and the next morning when I woke up, walla, it worked. Sometimes its just a wait and see.

The battery advice is good, and the hair dryer advice is good too as long as you keep fair distance and don't let it get too hot. Hope its working!
