In a previous thread a couple of people mentioned their os version and I think I am way behind with mine. I have the pearl 8100 on tmobile in the uk, it v4.2.0.51. Is this old?? If there is a newer one, how do i get and install it? I am a real novice so any help is welcome!

thanks for the advice. i think i may try it, the instructions seems pretty easy to follow. I am downloading the latest version of desktop software. is it worth doing? are there any risks? and most importantly if it all goes really really wrong can you show me how to fix it???
