Default Help with RIM software issue on Sprint Pearl 8130

Please Login to Remove!

1. How do you guys properly upgrade the Desktop Manager from version 4.22 to version 4.3? Each time I run 4.3 installation, I get that same error message. Also when I use the software manager updates, it doesn't list 4.3 as an upgrade. I would like to use a 6GB or 8GB microsd card.

3. Anyone knows how to prevent my laptop sent messages from showing up as a copy on the phone. I want just incoming emails and BB sent messages to arrive in my phone Message Box??

4. Anyone knows if the Sprint PCS Connection Manager at the Sprint\Download site is the "dialup modem" program I should be using for the 8130 because I don't see the 8130 listed as a compatible phone for this program??

1- uninstall any previous version of desktop manager, then install 4.3

3- are you on a BES, BlackBerry Enterprise Server?

4- the latest version of Sprint Connection Manager supports the 8130, even though it's not listed.

1. Ok. But the error message( I don't recall but it had something to do with writing files to the blackberry directory on the computer) is still there. After installation, I am not sure if it affects the functionality of the Desktop Manager.

3. No. I am using the BB internet service. Linked to my MS Outlook email account for gmail.

4. Thanks,... I doubt I will use it now, that Sprint told me it's an extra cost.

Need more information on the error if you want any help there? What is the error? What OS? etc.

Just hide sent messages on the BlackBerry. Messages > Options > General Options > Hide Sent Messages > set to Yes.

Tethering with Sprint is free if you have one of the traditional unlimited BlackBerry data plans. If you have one of the new/cheaper plans it does cost extra.

for the sent items problem, login to your BIS account for Sprint at BlackBerry Internet Service and create a filter for the gmail account for sent items. click on Edit Filters, then Add one that states if the message is from your gmail address, do not forward message to handheld.

Thanks VaWireless and dFisher..

I think I got a better solution for the email issue, I downloaded Gmail Mobile and deactivated the Gmail link to the BB Email setup. This isolates my Gmail emails just to the Gmail app, thus freeing my BB message list just for BB related items...

About, the error message, I will have to reinstall version 4.3 again someday and after several diferent ways of install in the last days(including the one you've mentioned), I just gave up for now.
