Default poking holes in back cover LOL

i had this thought.,.... i opened the back cover off the back of my pearl... and played some music... i noticed that the sound quality is so amazing compared to having the cover on...like day and night... the poor design makes the cover muffle and cover the speaker... i was thinking of taking a soldering iron or a red not needle and poking small holes in the silver part of the cover where it says blackberry , right where the speaker is.. it would let more sound out and increase the quality... and thoughts?
